[edit] Are we Using first letter is CAPS?

Hi Yunzhong. I noticed you renamed Phase Transition In Computing to have initial capitalisation. Are we moving all pages to have initial caps? That would make writing links less error prone, so I like it... JC 20:47, 15 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Comments on Mergers and acquisitions :-)

IMHO, deletions of pages such as NISTEP and Timelines were unnecessary. Often a redirect is better (as may be with NISTEP) and moving all content to one page like Links is questionable. Other than that, thanks for lots of maintenance work. Paranoid 09:23, 1 October 2006 (UTC)

I don't really see the point of copying all pages into one long page Advanced Concepts. We are not trying to write a book here. And even if it is useful in some form, we still need smaller pages, because it's easier to work with them and interlink. Paranoid 09:35, 1 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Help Please

  • Gjeremy I want to put my scenario timeline link on the main page but I dont know how.
  • You seem to not have a discussion page because I cant get to it.
  • I was wondering if you were the one that created the Future wiki.
  • It seems that there arent that many people working on it.
  • I did a search on space but only got three results. I looked around and found at least a dozen subjects about space.
  • Also I think that the one advacement probblem could be expanded to show flaws in sciencefiction storys like Star Trek.
I did that. BTW, I started this wiki. Paranoid 18:54, 1 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Futures Wiki

This is a response to: http://futures.wiki.taoriver.net/moin.fcg/FuturesWiki

The futures wiki is a place for people to talk about the future, and tell their ideas, in the wiki form. It is relatively lazily moderated by me.

This wiki is more like a presentation, and not so much chatty.

That's my impression, at least, from looking around.

[edit] Shouting

Please use my talk page next time.

It is my opinion that the singularity will happen in 2035 not 2048 as Raymond Kurzweil predicted. I think progress is happening faster than he predicted.

[edit] Space

Why do you think we should use spaces after scenario? I don't really mind, just want consistency. What is your take on that? Paranoid 10:01, 23 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Deletion - banality and nonsense

Hi! I think that poor quality pages should not be kept here. We should only have quality, relevant and brilliant content. Ramblings by incompetent writers should be kept on their personal pages. So both banality or nonsensical character are reasons for deletion. Nobody is going to read all pages, so having more pages isn't necessarily better - having all good pages is more important. Paranoid 12:39, 23 October 2006 (UTC)

Yes, that's true. Anyone planning on writing fictional takes on the future ought to contribute them on the Fiction Wikia. If that's the problem you're having, then direct them here. --YZHchat/2000+ edits 21:15, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Hissy Fit

[edit] Future wikibooks

Hello. I am Iamunknown from Wikibooks. I noticed that you have not edited the Future wikibook within the past month. Please let me extend a welcome on behalf of the Wikibooks community. After re-reading through the VFD, I felt that no one intended to exclude you, and if it came across that way, I believe it was in error. Will you continue editing there? --Iamunknown 06:58, 18 January 2007 (UTC)

I have moved on to other things. I may, someday, but not in the forseeable future. Yunzhong Hou 5000+ edits 21:27, 18 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] StarCraft on Wikibooks

Hey, I'm hoping you're the same person on wikibooks. You seem to be more active here so I'm leaving this message on this wiki. The StarCraft book is up for deletion, as it doesn't fit in with the wikibooks goal. However, I'm in the process of copying all the info over to http://strategywiki.org. As your name kept coming up as I was going through the histories, I thought you would like to know. If you want any more info, leave me a message on strategywiki or wikibooks, since I probably won't be coming back here. -- Prod from StrategyWiki and Wikibooks

Okay, thanks for telling me. Yunzhong Hou 5000+ edits 23:21, 21 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Are you interested to help my project

Hi Mr. Hou.

I'd like to know if you would be interested to create a logo for my school project at:

http://futurism.freepgs.com

I already took some logos from your work because I think they are good looking.

[edit] Image sources and licensing

You have uploaded a lot of good looking images that I would like to use elsewhere, but the sources and licenses for these images are unclear, preventing me from using them without license and copyright woes. Tcrow777 Talk | Teklogs 09:06, 16 November 2007 (UTC)
