United States presidential election of 2016 is be the 58th quadrennial U.S. presidential election and takes place on Tuesday, November 6, 2016. The incumbent president, Barack Obama, is ineligible to be elected to a third term due to term limits in the Twenty-second Amendment to the United States Constitution. Democrat Vice-President Joe Biden and running mate Andrew Cuomo defeated Republican Rick Santorum and running mate Ron Paul. Despite a close election, many signs such as children's moc-elections, exit polls, and more Biden masks selling than Santorum masks showed the Vice-President would be victorous. At around midnight on Nov 6, Biden's victory was annoced.
