The United States Presidential Election, 2028 was held on November 4th, 2028 to elect the next President of the United States. The contest was between incumbent Republican President Natalie J. Moore, and Democratic challenger, Kirsten Gillibrand.
Moore's first four years as President had not been an easy time. She has been accused of corruption, strange ties and deaths, racism, homophobia and islamophobia. Her Vice President, Charlie Baker, died in strange circumstances after being found dead with two gunshots in the head, but also a suicide note. President Moore quickly named Actor and 2024 Republican candidate Dwayne Johnson to the Vice Presidency. Also, the unemployment increased during the first three years of her term and the economy went through a recession. However, the alliance with Russia and Britain on foreign wars, the government transparency and the "Swamp Drain" was a recovery of her popularity; the economy had also returned to growth. By the time the election was near, she was most people's firm favourites to win. Meanwhile Kirsten Gillibrand's campaign was seen as more left-wing than usual Democratic campaigns, being compared even with communist leaders.
