Perhaps the most important asset of any space-faring nation is the ability to travel between various star systems. Without this ability, galactic empires would not exist.
The most recent example of the technology being developed was in 2144, ten years after a Soram Cruiser was shot down by the unified alliance of Human nations on Mars during the First Human - Soram War.

In the galactic community, energy is contained in devices called Scintilla Stones. They are small and contain large amounts of electrical energy.
