- I agree. After puberty has come to set in, a "kid" should start behaving as an adult. 18 for adulthood has never made sense to me. I felt no different at 18 that I can recall, yet I remember sweeping changes between the ages of 12 and 15. Clearly the idea of adulthood starting as late as it does, not just with certain absurdities such as our drinking laws, is a new thing in human cultre. I don't mean to advocate anything like pedophilia however, but men and women of similar age marrying at age 16? what is wrong with that? I am not sure how it's been done in other cultures, but I think we should look to biology, as well as the history of a person's ancestors (race) / where-you-come-from for guidance on this. That is, if your ancestors are from Britain and France, and in the past 2000 years of these countries/locations, your ancestors tended to marry between the ages of 15 and 20, then shouldn't that be the norm? Or perhaps this is universal across ages. I don't think futurism can escape biology, unless there is a sect of mankind that wants to try to change its biology through genetic engineering or fusing with machines --Stalepie 05:40, 24 August 2008 (UTC)

OK, no offense, but this future sounds like a land of uptight prudes who don't know the definition of freedom. Oh and nothing but size 6 women? If I wanted to date a chick with the body of a 10 year old boy I'd just date a 10 year old boy.

When people have too much freedom, you have rampant crime, rampant obesity, people dying from smoking and alcohol-related deaths, and kids shooting each other in high schools. In the year 2009, we have an excessive amount of freedom to fry our brains on television, forget our responsibilities through alcohol, get obese on fast foods containing high levels of fructose corn syrup, and smoke our way to cancer by using cigarettes (a.k.a. death sticks).
