Seahawks RB Eddie Lacy easily takes game MVP after running for a record-breaking 224 yards and 2 touchdowns. Tom Brady announces his retirement from the NFL a few months later.
  • NBA: The Boston Celtics dethrone the Golden State Warriors in six games. Kyrie Irving is named Finals MVP, while Oklahoma City Thunder PG Russell Westbrook had previously won season MVP.

2020

  • NFL: The Seattle Seahawks repeat their Super Bowl victory after a 23 - 17 test of defense v. offense against the Oakland Raiders. Russell Wilson's 2 touchdowns and 320 yards propels him to game MVP, while Oakland QB Derek Carr had prior emerged out of a tight three way race between himself, Wilson, and Packers QB Aaron Rodgers for season MVP.
  • NBA: Having regained Kevin Durant in the off season, the Oklahoma City Thunder sweep the Milwaukee Bucks in the Finals to bring the Thunder's first trophy back to OKC. Russell Westbrook earns both season and Finals rings.
  • Summer Olympics: The 2020 Summer Olympics are hosted by Tokyo, Japan.
  • NFL: 2012 Heisman winner Johnny "Money" Manziel makes his return to the NFL with the New York Giants.
  • NFL: In the summer, the Raiders finish their move to Las Vegas.

2021

  • NFL: The Los Angeles Rams win the Super Bowl over the Jacksonville Jaguars 31 - 17. Rams running back Todd Gurley barrels his way to Super Bowl MVP.
  • NBA: The Oklahoma City Thunder fend off John Wall and the Washington Wizards in six games. Kevin Durant swipes Finals MVP.

2022

  • NFL: The Greenbay Packers defeat the Houston Texans 51 - 13. Aaron Rodgers ends his career with a Lombardi and Super Bowl MVP.
  • Winter Olympics: The 2022 Winter Olympics are hosted by Beijing, China.

2023

  • NFL: For the first time in League history, a team wins the Super Bowl in their home stadium as the San Francisco 49'ers defend their castle of LevI's Stadium against the Cincinnati Bengals' high powered defense. Jimmy Garappolo swipes Super Bowl MVP.

2024

  • NFL: In a rematch of Super Bowl XLVII, the Baltimore Ravens again upset the 49'ers. Joe Flacco retires with Super Bowl MVP.
  • Summer Olympics: The 2024 Summer Olympics are hosted by Paris, France.
