The 2015 NFL season was the 96th season in the history of the National Football League. It began on September 10, 2015, with the defending Super Bowl XLIX champions New England Patriots hosting the Houston Texans in the annual kickoff game, which they won by a score of 31-13. The season concluded with Super Bowl 50 on February 7, 2016, at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, where the New England Patriots repeated as Super Bowl champions against the Green Bay Packers 33-28 in what is considered one of the greatest Super Bowls ever played.
