World beat music is a genre of music that will replace rock music as the most popular music (along with hip hop and dance/electronica music); the last new rock music single to reach mainstream popularity will be The Wife Goes to Work and the Man Stays at Home by the legendary band Aerosmith - becoming the anthem of the "Great Recession of 2008-12." This will occur either in or around the year 2010. World beat music is usually not in the English language and the artists' recordings are usually done in places outside of Western civilization; the reason that world beat music will replace rock music is that everyone is more interested in different cultures. People have developed a jaded attitude to Western (most notably American) culture because of the 2003 Iraq War, and they start listening to non-English songs from other countries like Japan, China, and Korea for example.
World beat music will make an exceptionally high impression on adolescents born between 1997 and 2046, because they will be the first generation never to have either listened to or remembered listening to rock music. This new music genre will also provide the background music for their educational computer games. By the year 2015, rock music becomes hard to find and by 2020, only specialty stores sell rock music while most major record stores and department stores sell world beat music, hip hop, or dance/electronica music instead. "Frances Cobain", "FU3P", and "Dredgerous" will become notable bands during the era when world beat music reaches its height. "Boys Rock" will be the first world beat music band to win a Grammy while "Brad Bowl-Llama" will become the first Canadian world beat music act to win a Juno award.
World beat music will be featured in the Sonic the Hedgehog games of the future as well as in the PlayStation 5 games DC vs Marvel and Star Wars - Episode IX: Jedi Destiny.

After the Singularity in the year 2045, world beat music will become more enlightened. Eventually, world beat music will be replaced by a new mystical form of music that uses nearly 100% of a person's potential brain power sometime around the year 2060.
