• 2007 - An obesity epidemic strikes the United States and Canada; automobiles in addition to television, junk food, and lack of exercise are jointly to blame for all this.

• September 2008 - America's banking system officially collapsed; many people began questioning America's role in the increasingly globalized economy.

• 2009-2025 - The world is plummeted into the Second Dark Ages. Religion and warfare takes a primary role over top of scientific research and space travel because of the economic crisis that started in 2008.

• Summer 2010 - All opposition to the nuclear power plant in Nanticoke, Ontario, Canada is halted as North America enters the 2010-11 energy crisis. The crisis would only affect coal, fossil fuels, and first-generation ethanol.

• Summer 2013 - A bloody civil war involving nuclear weapons begins in Canada.

• 2016 - After the end of a bloody civil war in Canada, the United States of America and Canada merge to form a single nation.

• 2017 - The entire downtown of Simcoe, Ontario is transformed from a rustic car-friendly shopping mecca for the wealthy elite into a shopping mall for people to walk (not drive) through that has youthful stores and prices suitable for the masses

• January 1, 2019 - Detroit and Windsor merge to form the city of Windroit. This city lays on the border between the states of Michigan and Ontario. With the Ambassador Bridge used as a state border line, the western part of Windroit is federally known as Windroit, Michigan and the eastern part of Windroit is federally known as Windroit, Ontario.

• January 1, 2020 - Niagara Falls, Ontario and Niagara Falls, New York combine their municipal governments into one, thus sharing a common mayor

• July 2020 - Canadamerica wins its very first World Cup of Football

• 2020-2028 - The Royal Canadian Mounted Police and the U.S. Marshals combine to form the Royal Canadamerican Mounted Police

• 2020s - Canadian Idol and American Idol merge to become Canadamerican Idol, the first show in the Idol series to have two main hosts and six talent judges

• January 1, 2022 - The old Canadian and American dollars become invalid; all financial exchanges must be done in Ameros

• 2025 - Valley Heights Secondary School along with the top 1% of high schools in Canadamerica are leading the nation into the Singularity by offering student-led instruction (instead of the antiquated teacher-led instruction that dominated the 20th century).

• 2027 - All the other shopping malls in Simcoe, Ontario except the new "downtown shopping mall" are forced to shut down due to lack of profit

• 2029 - Dawn of the Caribbean War; conscription law passed in Canadamerica

• 2030 - An amendment is passed in the constitution making it mandatory for all adult citizens to have at least a high school diploma. Consequences include disenfranchisement, total loss of civil rights, and the inability to retain or acquire a driver's license for any motorized vehicle.

• 2032 - Campus protests (using passive resistance) against the Caribbean War and "The Draft" begin across Canadamerica

• 2035 - The Caribbean War finally ends with a Canadamerican victory and the acquisition of several U.N. Trust Territories; anti-war protests end and are replaced with contentment and a willingness to travel to Canadamerica's new territories and protectorates

• 2037 - Conscription laws in Canadamerica repealed

• Late 2037 - Simcoe, Ontario becomes a major cultural center that is considered the equal of Brantford, Ontario and Woodstock, Ontario

• 2040 - Television was subject to a worldwide ban by the United Nations, for which the Canadamerican government reluctantly agreed to vote for this resolution. Banning television would finally end the obesity epidemic as people started to spend less time being sedentary and more time being physically active. The television ban would also have an beneficial effect on human fertility.

• 2040s - Armed forces in Canadamerica are 100% voluntary service, all conscripts have either died or returned home to civilian lives and careers

• 2062 - The Canadamerican Trust Territory of Mexico del Norte gains independence, along with southwestern Canadamerica as the Republic of Aztlan. 98.5% of water in Aztlan is considered "clean potable water," development and economic growth in what was formerly known as Mexico is 5 times faster than in 2002

• 2065 - The golden age for the Canadamerica men's national soccer team finally ends as a legendary midfielder retires from international competition. However, he continues to play for the New York Red Bulls of the Major League Soccer organization until the year 2071

• 2067 - Canadamerica announces that it has reached an all-time record low in terms of drug traffic volume and corruption

• 2091 - Lojban and Esperanto replaces English and French as Canadamerica's official languages. Lojban sees an unusually high level of immediately acceptance in Quebec, Vancouver, San Francisco, Seattle, Toronto, and in Niagara Falls.

• 2092 - Canadamerica is absorbed into the United States of Earth
