RyansWorld: Neopuritanism

Neo-puritanism will be a system of government that will restrict people's civil rights for their own good. Red meat, noneducational toys, foul language, alcohol, pornography, and all other things that are not considered healthy, nutritious, or morally sound will be outlawed by the mayor of each municipality. It will most likely start around the year 2010 after the Christian Coalition credits the death of rock and roll music to the conservative right-wing Americans in political office (in reality, rock and roll dies out because everyone is more interested in different cultures, develop a jaded attitude to Western and American culture, and starts to listen to non-English songs from other countries).
A fictional example is in the movie Demolition Man, where a previously quasi-hedonistic Los Angeles is transformed into ultraconservative San Angeles after a dreadful earthquake almost destroys it completely.

- Canadamerica after the year 2040 (when they banned television and male masturbation)
- Venezuela after the year 2015 (when they became the first country to ban all television broadcasting)
- Nazi Germany (1933-1945)
- Bhutan (prior to 1999)
- Afghanistan (under Taliban rule)
