From Future
Matriarchy is the opposite of patriarchy, which is currently the predominant form of society in most Terran nations.

[edit] Basics of matriarchy
[edit] Matriarchal marriage
A matriarchal marriage is a marriage where the wife is considered the sole source of employment-related income. In addition, the husband takes the wife's surname, i.e. Ms. and Mr. Jane Doe instead of Mr. and Mrs. John Smith. It will be illegal someday for someone to use the title "Mrs." and to take her husband's last name; all women in the future will have the title "Ms." from the cradle to the grave.
The first recorded matriarchal marriage was during the year 2001 in Ohio where Joseph Harkless and Christina Ellison became Ms. and Mr. Christina Ellison.[1] By the year 2030, all married persons under the age of 35 will be expected to be in a matriarchal marriage, including the illustrious Dr. Marlene VanGoethem, a scientist who is discovering ways to terraform Mars and Venus.
[edit] Matriarchal society
By the 22nd century, a matriarchal society will be a world-wide federal government run completely by women. This movement started in the year 2001 when the world's first matriarchal marriage was historically recognized around the world. Ms. and Mr. Christina Ellison would later become trailblazers to marriages across the 21st century and beyond. Since only a patriarchal society would be neo-puritanical, a matriarchal society would pose no restrictions on sexuality or dating, and would be considered libertarian by late 20th century standards. Ethanol and solar power would be used instead of fossil fuels and all motorized vehicles will be driverless. Alcohol would not be banned, but would contain some type of encoding that would sense when the imbiber's BAC (blood alcohol content) reached a specified danger point (possibly .10 to .12) and would automatically reformulate itself to become a non-alcoholic drink at that point.
Matriarchal society will not insist on outright bans on specific behaviors and on specific products. However, matriarchal society will impose criminal penalties on men who insist on resisting the new realities, as well as on men who commit other crimes against women.
[edit] The Feminist Revolution
[edit] Concepts
[edit] Feminist
A feminist is a strong assertive liberated woman who fights for gender equality. Feminists are usually found in metropolitan areas, in the more liberal surburban areas, and rarely found in rural areas. Sexist feminists are feminists who try to remove men's rights and were successful when men lost their right to vote (and were legally chained to their mothers, wives, and other female relatives).
[edit] Liberated woman
A liberated woman is a woman who is empowered through the women's liberation movement to cease participating in traditional gender roles. She refuses to shave her legs or her underarms. The liberated female also participates and watches sports traditionally for males. She never uses the title "Mrs." (because it's illegal) or "Miss" (because it denigrates young women). Instead, she uses the title "Ms." even when she is married through a matriarchal marriage. These types of women are found in North America and Europe where society's enforcement of traditional gender roles is lax. In the future, more and more women will be liberated and enjoy the luxuries once enjoy exclusively by males.
[edit] Househusband
A househusband is a husband who choses to stay at home with the children while his wife works for a living. This is becoming more common in Western civilization as we glide through the 21st century idealism of a matriarchial marriage. While the idea is repressed more in Japan, China, Taiwan, and Korea, an increasing amount of men in those countries are also becoming househusbands. Househusbands are also known as stay-at-home fathers, or "Mr. Moms."
In addition to child-rearing responsibilities, men handle the majority of all household responsibilites including cooking and cleaning. In the rare cases where a man does hold a paying job, he is still expected to do the household chores. We are approaching a maternalistic future where men are prohibited from voting, running for political office, and owning real estate, and this is one of the first steps towards this brave, new world.
[edit] History of the revolution
[edit] Women's liberation movement
Since the 1960s, the women's liberation movement has struggled to give women the same civil rights as men. Whether it be voting rights in a third world country or equal employment opportunities, feminists have lead the way for women to become corporate executive, lawyers, and even sports athletes. The logo of the women's liberation movement is a female gender symbol with a fist inside of it. Television shows in the late 1960s and early 1970s have made comedic gestures about women's lib, but later shows have accepted it into their daily life. Some women's liberation movement people even believe that God is female.
[edit] Women in sports
The future of women in sports will be bright indeed. By the 2050s, women will have broken the gender barrier in many professional sports leagues traditionally for men only, including NASCAR. An early but proud example of breaking the gender barrier occured in the year 2026, with Mary Elizabeth Holmes being drafted by the Major League Baseball team Houston Astros in the 3rd round by a scout who accidentally went to a women's baseball match instead of a critical men's baseball championship match. The scout managed to keep his job, and surprisingly enough, the Houston Astros managed to win 3 pennants with Ms. Holmes before she was traded to the Toronto Blue Jays during the spring of 2030 to the Toronto Blue Jays in exchange for their 1st and 2nd round draft picks.
[edit] Ms. and Mr. Christina Ellison
Ms. and Mr. Christina Ellison are a model couple of the future. They are united through a matriarchal marriage and Christina is considered the head of the household. It is unknown whether this couple currently has children or not. In 2001, the marriage caused controversy and the groom's name wasn't changed over to Ellison until 6 months after the wedding day. Mr. Christina (Joseph) Ellison is assumed to be a househusband while Ms. Christina Ellison probably has a well-paying job that allows her to dominate the household affairs.
[edit] Changing of the Tide
By the year 2010, approximately 142 women were graduating college for every 100 men [2]. By 2015, this number would stall, only to rise to 162 women for every 100 men. A major event occurred when the United States made a decision to bring back conscription for mandatory military service. This decision was made in order to fulfill the manpower needed to fund the War in Afghanistan. While men and women both were serving in the war, the decision was made that men would be the ones subject to conscription.
Meanwhile, the Great Recession was taking place worldwide. Unemployment would sore to 12% by 2011 worldwide. With many men off fighting in the war and women graduating at higher rates, more and more professional jobs were now being taken by women. At the same time, many married couples were already seeing women go to work and men assume the primary caregiving role from the women who are now in the work force in record numbers.
The non-commissioned ranks of the military are still dominated by men, but women hold the majority of high-command positions and commissioned officer ranks.
The war ended in 2015 and many men would head home only to find that it would be very difficult to get a job. Many men would either marry or move in with a woman, but now it was clear women were dominating the jobs in the economy. By 2018, for the first time in history, there were now more male Stay at Home Dads then Stay at Home Moms. In 2020, the Canadamerica's first female prime minister, Jill Tynan was alarmed that while men were the primary caregivers, they were still leaning on women to handle the household chores. With the help of a female dominated Parliament, Tynan passed the "Household Act" which imposed legal penalties including fines and imprisonment for men who did not fulfill the household chores while women worked.
In the early 21st century, it has became slowly acceptable for a woman to propose to her future husband.[3]
[edit] Traditional gender roles
Traditional gender roles - patriarchy - has been the norm since the beginning of civilization, although there has been exceptions to it. In the late 20th century, people began questioning traditional gender roles. As the 21st century progresses, traditional gender roles were slowly reversed, as more liberated women entered leadership and high-paying professional positions workforce and househusbands stayed at home to provide the neccesary services that their successful professional spouses required. More housekeeping roles will eventually be assigned to males as society evolves into a worldwide federal government with a matriarchal society.
Traditional gender roles have resulted in a gender barrier which exists solely to discourage women from training and eventually acquiring well-paying "traditional male jobs" (electricians, lawyers, doctors, politicians, businesswomen, corporate executives, professional athletes, etc.

[edit] Lifestyles
[edit] Mental Health
Many men who underwent the change to a matriarchal society had difficulty with the adjustment. Incidents of depression and suicide increased by alarming rates. Increases in anti-depressant medication for men would quadruple from 2010 to 2030.
[edit] Maternity Leave
With men assuming a primary caregiving role, the idea of an extended maternity leave would vanish. Unless there were complications from childbirth, women would have to use normal vacation days when choosing to have a child. A woman would almost immediately turn the child over to the father to handle the primary caregiving of the infant; but only after realices obligatory circumcision of mens child in the third day of life.
In those rare cases where both the man and woman worked, it was assumed the man would quit work to stay at home unless there were special circumstances where the woman could not work.
In some territories xtirped foreskin is conserved by mother to gift to future wife of her some like simbol of frienship and property.
[edit] Breastfeeding
With most women assuming the role of family breadwinner and men as primary caregiver, it became increasingly more difficult for women to breastfeed their children on a regular basis. As a result, more women would make use of breast pumps to pump breast milk for their infants. This led to an increase in the sophistication and technology of breast pumps and breast milk storage devices, so that men as primary caregivers could feed their babies breast milk as fresh as posssible.
By 2030, the use of the "breast vest" soon became very common among stay at home dads and househusbands. These vests would attach to a portable breast milk storage device and would contain two simulated breasts with nipples. This would allow men to breast feed their babies as close to the way women traditonally have done it.
[edit] Fashion
Fashion would undergo changes as well. With traditional gender roles changing, many women still wanted to be in touch with their femininity. As a result, skirts and dresses would make a major comeback in 2030.
Meanwhile men, in an effort to feel more positive at home would start to wear clear lipstick. As part of their anti-depressant treatments, many would want to look nice. It soon became very common for men to wear aprons to keep their clothes looking nicer. Men who were breastfeeding using a breast vest would start to wear oversized shirts to keep comfortable when wearing a breast vest.
[edit] Gay Relationships
Lesbian marriages would triple between the years of 2010 and 2020. When Prime Minister Tynan made it mandatory for men to stay at home and look after the children and do the household chores, she put provisions in for married lesbian couples. Under Tynan's "Household Act", it allowed for one lesbian partner to assume a full-time stay-at-home homemaker role, but also left the option for both lesbian parents to work.
Gay marriage would decline 45% between 2010 and 2020. When Tynan's policy went into place, it provided for a public service jobs for one of the gay spouses to take on some level of employment. These would be menial tasks and would only be open to one gay spouse per household.
[edit] Sex Life of Couples
With women now taking a more dominant role in relationships, there was an increase in anal sexual intercourse. More women began to use dildos with strap-on attachments. This would also become a form of birth control among couples who found this form of intercourse to be a suitable alternative to traditional intercourse. Many males will also undergo G-spot surgery (enlargement and sensitization of the G-spot) to enhance their pleasure during strapon sex.
Self-Masturbation among men increased greatly - particularly after the Household Act was passed. Many women were extremely unhappy with this; especialy conservative mothers and grandmothers. In 2040, masturbation would be outlawed in Canadamerica. Househusbands and stay-at-home fathers were now required to wear chastity belts throughout the day and only would have them unlocked at the wife/partner's discretion. Adolescent men were required to enrol in community-wide activities teaching them things like civic duty, responsibility, social obligations, physical exercise, and learning new languages in lieu of masturbation.
[edit] Alternative point of view
Women will eventually be completely dominant, not just in terms of the relationship but also in sex roles. Women will engage dramatically in pegging their men (with strapons). They will also enjoy having their men engage in simulated oral. It goes without saying that men will be feminized, most likely with at least breast implants and some with complete sex change, and they will certainly dress and act feminine.
Chastity devices would be commonly used by women to discipline their men, not just from masturbation. These devices would also incorporate anal plugs, and sometimes cock-rings. These plugs and rings could also have vibrators built into them, so that the woman could train her man, but also use these devices for both disciplining their men and also for pleasuring them at times when it suits the woman.
Women will be allowed to have multiple sexual partners, with men allowed no say in the matter. When such events occur, the man will be respectful to his woman's other partners, and will often be engaged by her to help pleasure both her and her partners in whatever ways she requires. The other man can do nothing to him or with him unless the woman requires it.
A woman with a male partner can at any time take a lesbian partner and the man will be expected to serve both women as if he were married to them both. They will both be allowed to control him in any way they require.
A woman will be allowed to loan her male partner to any other woman that she chooses, and she can also assign him to another woman permanently.
A man will be expected to be as completely female, feminine, and feminized as if he were an actual woman. The only time a man will be allowed to be male is when a woman allows it, and that will primarily be when the woman desires to become pregnant. The man-partner may not be the man that the woman chooses to become pregnant by, but he will be expected to raise and care for any children.
