G is a classification in the United States of Earth Movie Ratings System in which all ages are admitted. A G-rated motion picture contains nothing in theme, language, nudity, sex, violence or other matters that, in the view of the Rating Board, would offend parents whose younger children will view the motion picture. The G rating is not a "certificate of approval," nor does it signify a "children’s" motion picture. Some snippets of language may go beyond polite conversation, but they are common everyday expressions. No stronger words are present in G-rated motion pictures. Depictions of violence are minimal. No nudity, sex scenes or drug use are present in the motion picture. Swimwear can be shown in appropriate settings such as at a beach or swimming pool, and the clothing is relevant to the activity (such as swimming or recreational sunbathing), but it is not used to sexually arouse people. The swimwear is also shown in a setting that allows all ages such as public family friendly beaches and swimming pool, and popular resort destinations. Romantic interactions such as hugging, kissing, going on family friendly dates, giving flowers and related gifts, and holding hands are allowed but nothing too sexual.
