Pravus is a small island nation in North America. It was founded on September 27th, 2045. It's capital and largest city is the city of Rosemary, located in the Southwest part of the country.
Formation[]
For many years, Pravus was a territory of the ROA. Until the year 2039, when it was sold to Canada. It then became a territory of Canada, which gave the island less liberty and representation than it had beforehand. Residents of the island were considered Canadian citizens, but weren't allowed to vote in elections, or have any representation in the Canadian government whatsoever. Pravus pushed hard to be independent for nearly 5 years. Finally in 2044, and election was held on the island to vote on independence. 78% of the population voted for independence, while 22% voted to stay a territory of Canada. Pravus submitted a request to leave Canada, and the request was granted by the Canadian government.
On September 27th, 2045, The island was officially released from Canada and The Democratic Republic of Pravus was founded.
