Poland, officially the Republic of Poland (Rzeczpospolita Polska), is a country in Central Europe bordered by the Federation of Europe to the west; the Czech Republic and Slovakia to the South; Ukraine, Russia and Lithuania to the East; and the Baltic Sea and Kaliningrad Oblast, a Russian exclave, to the North. The total area of Poland is 492,679 square kilometers, making it the 3rd largest country in Europe after Russia and the FE. Poland has a population of over 68 million people, which makes it the 2nd most populous member of the European Federation.
It was one of the largest economies in Europe, until the economic crash of 2036, when Eastern Europe essentially collapsed, due to it's economy still geared to war. In a final attempt to save their countries before they collapsed politically, Poland led to charge to join the nearby European Federation, and was joined by a number of its Eastern neighbours. Due to the Polish annexation with the Treaty of Berlin, the EF grew to be one of the largest economies on the planet, alongside China and the United States.
