New World Order (The New Renaissance)

Introduction

The world after Congress of Geneva and First Terran Treaty has been under a greatly change.

After the Re-Alinement Era, a series of merging, restructuring and re-organizing among countries, starting with the Second Great Depression in late 2010s - early 2020s, Earth now is home of humanity and is mainly under influences from Eight Great Powers, or the New G8, or simply G8, group of eight most powerful superstates. Within the next several centuries, these nations will be the main forces trying to balance power, avoid any full-scale conflicts and leading humanity enter another Restoration Age.

With the decriminalization of sexy industry in late 2030s, the population on Earth enter yet another boom, this time bigger than ever seen before. By 2082, the main population of Earth reach the number of 50 billions and still rising.

During the next century, world map underway a full-scale redraw, led to the birth of eight superstates across Earth. For the next several centuries, these states are the ones keeping this map & contribute to create the 1st ever universal government: The Terran Parliament, comprise of Earth and its vast number of colonies and satellite planets along the universe.

1. When the European Union collapse in 2022 due to the Second Depression, the European nations are left with a complete mess, from economy to politics. The whole system is failed, not actually wrong, only wrong approaching. From the dust of EU, countries that have a lot more democratic systems took the opportunity and rebuild a new united Europe, a more freedom-respected yet much more reasonable and integrated nations, in order to counter a desperate Communist China trying to save their ass. The country now adopt a system similar to Switzerland, Denmark, Finland, Norway and Netherlands.
   
2. What go around come around. After thousand years of assimilating other cultures, when their economy, along with their system, society, collapse in the Greater Depression (2018 - 2032), China fall, completely break into loads of smaller parts. While the Southern, divided at Yangtze River, quickly join force with the Republic of China & later, the South East Asian Commonwealth to create the Confederation of Asia-Pacific, what remains of an once-mighty People's Republic of China now is nothing more than a loose association of many warring states, in a friend-enemy-liked situation. Some of them influenced by powerful neighbors, some stand alone.
