  • The Tennessee Titans relinquished their history and records from when they were in Houston. The Texans are regarded as a Continuation of the original franchise  
  • The Indianapolis Colts Relinquished their History and Records from when they were in Baltimore to the City of Baltimore which holds in a trust. in M&T Bank Stadium is the Baltimore Football Museum which displays the Colts and Ravens records and trophies.  
  • The Rams relinquished their their history and records from their years in Los Angeles to the City of Los Angeles which also maintains their Blue and Gold color scheme. Their Cleveland Records are owned by the City of Cleveland. 
  • The Carolina Panthers became the Charlotte Panthers in 2020.  
  • The Washington Redskins became the Washington Warriors in 2017.  
  • The Redskins relinquished their Pre-Washington History to the City of Boston which holds it in a trust. 
  • The Arizona Cardinals have relinquished their Pre-Arizona Records to the Rams (their Pre-St. Louis Records are in a separate trust) Both St. Louis teams are recognized as one continuous franchise according to the NFL History Books.
