Kyrgyzstan (Kyrgyz: Кыргызстан), officially the Kyrgyz Republic (Kyrgyz: Кыргыз Республикасы), is a country in Central Asia of about 5.5 million people. The country is landlocked and mountainous, bordering Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and China. It has had economic and political stability problems since it's independence in 1991, and has had a revolution in 2010. As of 2019, however, it regained much economic strength and has had several years of stability.
