Relations between Germany and Ukraine were established in 1918 when the first Ukrainian state was proclaimed. In the 2030s they increased greatly and Ukraine became a close economic and military partner of Germany.

HistoryEdit

For relations prior to 2017, see Germany-Ukraine relations.

With Germany becoming a rising great power following the restoration of monarchy in 2023, the Ukrainian government signed a free trade agreement between the two countries in 2025. This greatly helped boost the stagnant Ukrainian economy. The two states than increased cooperation in other fields, with Germany becoming one of Ukraine's closest partners. The German Emperor made a visit to Kiev in 2029 on invitation from President Yulia Tymoshenko and the Ukrainian government supported Germany's annexation of Benelux that year. Ukraine also joined the German-led Pact of Steel and joined Germany's side following the outbreak of World War III.

When the Ukrainian Civil War broke out in 2038 relations worsened as the government collapsed and the country was engulfed in chaos. Germany intervened and deployed troops to the country to assist the Ukrainian military in restoring order.
