The 2022 FIFA World Cup was an international football tournament contested by men's national teams that took place between November 21 and December 18, 2022 in Qatar. It was the 22nd edition of the FIFA World Cup.
Germany were victorious after defeating Spain on penalties in the final. This was Germany's 5th World Cup, which equaled Brazils record for the most World Cups. This was the last World Cup to be held with 32 teams.
