The Indo-Pakistani Empire is a sovereign republican nation created by India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh combining together to form a confederation similar to the United States of Europe. While remaining non-aligned during the Second Cold War, they have been known to purchase surplus military equipment from the Eurasian Union in addition to surplus computer equipment from Finland.
The joint leaders (in order of importance) are the President, the Vice-President and the Prime Minister. The Imperial Parliament is headed by the oldest Member of Imperial Parliament; who has the youngest Member of Imperial Parliament for a personal secretary. Meetings for the Imperial Parliament are always the second Thursday of each month from 09:00 to 17:00 according to New Delhi's time zone.

This confederation was to enhance trade in addition to economic development as well as military advances and security within the member nations of the confederation. The Indo-Pakistani Empire would reach its peak in 2050 and be absorbed into the United States of Earth by the year 2090. Formed in the year 2024 just before the dawn of the Nanotech Age, the Empire would be elite liberal in economic pursuits while being arch-conservative in social pursuits.
Afghanistan (under a democractically-elected regime) would be the first member to suggest confederation with other Asian countries on April 16, 2015. They believe that strongly aligning with other governments will prevent the Taliban from ever taking over the Afghani government ever again. While a mostly free society, women are chained to their husbands and fathers and cannot make more than 33% of their father's/husband's salary. Otherwise, they must terminate their well-paying employment and seek menial employment. Uncles, brothers and sons can legally become the legal guardian (for all financial and political transactions) if the woman is unmarried and has no father or stepfather.
Only unmarried women are allowed to vote, run for the Imperial Parliament and attend tertiary education. Widows and divorcees with no kids are considered to be unmarried by the laws of the Indo-Pakistani Empire. Giving up children for adoption does not restore "unmarried woman" status for a divorcée or a widow with custodial rights to her kids. Men are permitted to attend teritary education, vote and run for Imperial Parliament. Indo-Pakistan society prefers its members of Imperial parliament to be married while preferring university students to be unmarried and without any obligations towards single fatherhood.
