This undated artist rendering provided by the journal Nature shows a depiction of the Metaspriggina. New fossils of the sea creature found mostly in British Columbia, helped create a new description of the creature that was released on Wednesday, June 11, 2014, by the journal Nature. The the fossils are giving scientists critical details about one of the earliest known fishes, and researchers said that helps show how animals that have backbones evolved jaws.
