The 2016 U.S. election took place on 8th November 2016. On the 30th January 2017 the Bernie Sanders became the first Jewish President in U.S. History.

Bernie Sanders became the Democratic Nominee after narrowly beating Hillary Clinton in the primaries.

Marco Rubio became the nominee only due to the assassination of Donald Trump on the 23rd March 2016 (allegedly by Establishing Republican CEOs), and Ted Cruz falling ill in April.

Bernie Sanders pushed up Democratic turnout, whilst the lack of Donald Trump lowered Republican turnout.
