The Dutch Republic plays as one of the largest financial centers on earth with one of the highest GDP per capita. Its HDI is 0.999. The capital and largest city is Amsterdam. For years, the Dutch Republic has been a monarchy, under the Kingdom of the Netherlands, until republicanism restructured the constitution and monarchy was abolished. The republic is currently a presidential republic, much like the United States. It has assumed the same name of the former republic that was established in 1581. Amsterdam, one of the most modern cities in the world, is the largest business hub in Europe, after London, Berlin, and Paris (being the top three, making it number four).
