Overview[]

Byron Wexford Rae served as the 48th president of the United States of America, from 2031-2041. He was widely considered to be responsible for the downfall of the Democratic party, after his administration prosecuted eighteen DNC officials for their coordination of the 2031 incident. President Rae also served the second longest presidential term, serving for just under ten years.

Early Life[]

Rae was born on April 7th, 1980, in the city of Annapolis, Maryland. Rae's father taught at the naval academy, and Rae was exposed to the Military at an early age. In 1998, Rae enlisted in the Air Force, where he rose to the rank of captain before retiring in 2018.

US Congress[]

Rae was easily elected to the House of Representatives in the 2020 election. He aided in the passage of many key conservative bills, and eventually rose to the rank of Republican Whip after just six years in Washington. In 2025, Rae married thirty-two year old lobbyist Abigail Dobbs.

Mike Pence Administration[]

Rae became acquainted with then Vice President MIke Pence in 2021 at the White House Gala for freshman congressmen. Rae remained a close ally of Pence, and was considered crucial in Pence's successful 2024 presidential campaign. Pence allegedly offered Rae the position of White House Chief of Staff, however Rae declined. In 2028, Pence appointed Rae as the next Secretary of Transportation.

Ascension to the Presidency[]

When the 2031 incident occured, Rae and Attorney General Cynthia Cantor were the sole survivors in the line of succession to the presidency. Cantor was quickly sworn in as the 47th President of the United States, serving as the first woman to hold the office. However, upon her admittance to Walter Reed medical center for recovery and evaluation, Cantor suffered a fatal stroke and died three hours later, leaving her short presidential term at a total of 5 hours and 17 minutes. With her death, Rae was swiftly sworn in as the 48th President.

Presidency[]

Rae is credited as one of the most approved and productive presidents in history. His 10 years in the white house saw a widespread improvement in foreign relations, the domestic economy, and other various improvements. Perhaps one of the most key members of Rae's administration was Treasury Secretary Barbara Vance. Vance had previously served as a US Senator from Ohio, and she was well acquainted with Rae from their shared time in congress. Being such a senior member of the Republican party, Vance was rumored to be considered as a challenger to the inexperienced president in the 2032 election. However, these rumors were diffused when Rae was appointed as Treasury Secretary.
