The World War III (also called Third World War or BRIC war) was a large-scale destructive global conflict between the emerging economies known as the BRICs and the developed world which occured from 2012 to 2019. Resulting in the complete destruction of many large cities and the deaths of 90.5 million people, it was the most devastating and deadly conflict in all of history, changing the diplomatic relations of the world forever. The only positive feature of the conflict was the abscence of nuclear weapons, due to unanimous fulfillment of previous ecological agreements even in war times.

In 2010, the BRICs held their second meeting in Brasília, the capital of Brazil. This time, the main subject was not economics, but military affairs. The four countries planned a hegemonic revolution and agreed to declare war on the developed countries in order to politically and economically take over the world. During the two following years, the BRICs extensively trained their military forces, preparing to greatest war of all time.

In 2012, the BRICs officially delcare war on several developed countries members of the OECD and other elite supranational organizations. The initial objective was to shatter its most important cities. In response, the OECD countries selected their best fighters for the war.

The first attack came on March 24 in London, destroying large assets, such as The Houses of Parliament, and killing 2.5% of the population in 5 minutes. The Brazilian armed forces traveled to north toward the United States and across the Pacific to Australia. Russian forces attack Italy, destroying the Colosseum, and other places. New York City was attacked by the Brazilian forces from the south, and Los Angeles by Chinese forces from the west. In New York, the Statue of Liberty was destroyed, along with several skyscrapers in Manhattan including the Empire State and the Chrysler Building. Unprepared, Los Angeles was devastated, with the death toll counting 22% of the population.

The OECD countries finally manage to prepare their armed forces, and successfully stopped the invasion of New York City, albeit failing to save Los Angeles, which an additional of 6% of its population, totaling 28%. Three days later, the attacks against the United Kingdom, which were carried out by Russian forces, ended up exterminating nearly 60% of the population of Greater London. In the far east, China-Japan conflicts were frequent, and about 20% of the population of the Japan Sea and East China Sea perished among fires and battles.

By June, almost half of the population living in cities of the Pacific Ocean have died. Many governments of neutral nations and nongovernmental organizations aiming to promote peace attempted to stop the war via campaigns, but they were not successful. In the following months, the subconflicts of the war were given names. The war between the U.S. and Brazil was called "War of the Americas" and the conflict between Japan and China was called "War in the Far East." All the other conflicts were given names relating to their locales. Troops from China and Brazil attacked Africa (Brazil to the west and China to the east). Many countries in these regions fought with an unprepared army in undeveloped cities, so they were destroyed in less than a day. The Pak-Afghan Republic, although militarily stored, had no money to sustain survival even for three weeks. Without no Chinese support (as China and India aligned with each other), the military had to give up its draconian policies after a massive invasion by India. India, with limited Russian and Chinese help was able to subdue most of the Middle East by creating an Ofcorp (a unition of the most experienced and most ruthless soldiers and mercenaries of all time) and integrating it with the army. It was able to settle disputes between Iran and Israel and as a result got additional support and recognition in the region. This also made Israel neutral but leaning to the BRIC. The holy cities were handed over to a single modern religious organisation, The United Islamic Justice Front which became a subordinate to the BRICs. Unlike Brazil, China and Russia, India retained all cities in the Middle East for further economic development.

In early 2013, most coast cities in the United States were completely destroyed due to military attacks from all four BRICs. Now the financial and military centers of the country are concentrated in towns located in the center of the nation, like Chicago. However, European nations are in different situations, because the attacks were successful in Brazil and Russia. The armies destroyed the Christ the Redeemer statue, and killed nearly 30% of the population of Rio de Janeiro. Despite the attacks focusing mainly in Rio de Janeiro, other cities on the northeast coast of the country were also attacked - but the armies did not attack cities south from Rio de Janeiro. Altogether, about 11-12% of the population was killed.

In May, Canada announced to the United States that they will join the war and prepare its forces for the next month. Afterwards, the troops were prepared to attack China. In July, Canada joins the United States to form a one great nation, and in September they reconquered the West and East coasts. Since then, Chicago became the capital and largest city, as it became difficult for enemies to reach the Great Lakes region. At the end of October, China invaded and conquered the states of Alaska and Hawaii. The U.S. did not react toward China, but instead bought Greenland from Denmark for $15 billion. Much of the funding for the war on the BRICs side came mainly from oil supplies through tariff free internal trade and exploitative external aid. So although all OPEC countries claimed to be neutral they were under Indian suzerainty and sold oil to the US and Europe. Later, Brazilian troops invaded most of Central America and the Caribbean. China, India and Russia combine to form a single nation (the largest, most populous and most powerful in history), and then attack Japan, bombing Osaka, Yokohama and part of Tokyo. Later, the great nation (Great Asia) invited Brazil in to join merge to them in an attempt of forming the ultimate BRIC supernation, but Brazil refused because they believed they were too much far both geographically and socially and many problems could emerge from this.

The United States invaded and conquered most of North Africa. The war continues in this way until the middle of 2016, when Britain finally recover their territories bombed and annexes Italy. Germany joins Scandinavia and parts of Eastern Europe and declares peace to the world, which is recognized soon after. In January to February 2017, Iceland is solved allying with the United States, and becomes part of it. Brazil attacks Greece, while Great Asia attacks Turkey. Both succeeded. Great Asia declares war on Australia, but their government says that they could "save a war" for $45 billion. Great Asia accepted the proposal, and Indonesia and most Pacific Islands did the same. In March 2018, Great Asia was the largest country in the world, and they were the only nation dominating the entire coast of an ocean (the Indian Ocean). The United States conquered parts of Eastern Europe (right next to Brazilian terrirories).

In late 2019, OECD countries decide to offer a large sum of money ($78 billion) to stabilize world peace and finally stop the war. Great Asia agreed with the treaty with the condition of each country giving some of their territories. The war stopped in November 25, 2019. Later, Great Asia later changed its name to United Asia and peace has been recognized worldwide.

World peace was fully recognized in early 2020. The demographics of the world (economics, population, geography, etc.) were completely changed. United Asia, Brazil and the United States (in that order) became the three great nations of the world. And even after a world war, the resumed diplomatic relations have created important economic partners. However, the two smaller nations of Europe (United Kingdom and Germany, later called Scandinavia) remained cautious towards the rest of the globe. Humanity began to rebuild its cities in a new eco-friendly world. Since the war belligerents at least agreed not to use nuclear weapons due to threats to the global ecosystem, the environment was not affected. The world was fully reconstructed only in the 2120s.

Most developed nations in the 2050s

1. Scandinavia (Germany) (HDI 0.990)

3. United Kingdom (HDI 0.734)
4. United States (HDI 0.730)
5. United Asia (HDI 0.702)
In 2124, all five nations reached a HDI of 1.000.
