Agricultural libertarianism

From Future

This is a factual article as opposed to fiction or scenario. It describes the current state of the field and explains expected future developments without speculation or fantasy.

Agricultural libertarianism is the term applied to the political and social idealogy that some farmers and rural politicians subscribe to, wherein both parties attempt to preserve as much of the local agricultural industry as possible. This is considered to be a form of tribalism by some intellectuals.

Agricultural libertarianism can apply to any crop. As an example, tobacco belt regions are attempting to keep their tobacco-growing industry alive in the face of urban society attempting to ban tobacco.
