The 2032 Summer Olympics, officially known as the Games of the XXXV Olympiad and as Charlotte 2032, is a major international multi-sport event due to be celebrated in the tradition of the Olympic Games, as governed by the International Olympic Committee (IOC). The host city will be Charlotte, NC which is located in the United States.

Olympic Bombings

Main article 2032 Summer Olympic Bombings

On June 11, two separate bombs exploded in Charlotte. The First bomb exploaded at approximately 1:35 PM EDT at the American Legion Memorial Stadium near Independence Park. About 2 1/2 hours later, the second bomb exploded at the Charlotte Bobcats Stadium when the US Basketball team was playing against the Russian Basketball team. When the bombings occurred, the Charlotte Police Department was flooded with 911 calls about the bombings. A total of 3,764 people were killed in the two bombings and 8,985 people were injured. Most of the injured severed their limbs in the bombings.
