The 2028 US presidential election is scheduled on November 5th 2028. It's the 61st quadrennial presidential election. It's between the incumbent Republican president Jeb Bush and the Democratic candidate Evan Bayh, former vice-presidential candidate in 2016, former senator and governor of Indiana.
Republican presidential primaries:
- Jeb Bush, president of the United States since 2025
Eligible for a second term, Bush meets no opposition to gain the Republican nomination. He wins all the 51 states and all the 2286 delegates.

Democratic presidential primaries:
- Evan Bayh, 2016 vice-presidential nominee, governor of Indiana from 1989 to 1997, senator of Indiana from 1999 to 2011
- Martin O'Malley, governor of Maryland since 2007
After winning the Democratic nomination over Martin O'Malley, Evan Bayh selects Edward M. Kennedy as his running mate.

Martin O'Malley: 16 states, 772 delegates, 42% of the popular vote
Leading a good presidency and a dynamic campaign, Bush is re-elected president of the United States by winning 41 states, 455 electors and 56% of the popular vote against 10 states, 90 electors and 44% of the popular vote. His second inauguration as president is scheduled on January 20th 2029.
