-Sean Gelael replaces Nobuharu Matsushita, who got dropped after failing to score a single point. Gelael won the F2 championship in 2018, and got promoted to Toro Rosso before the name changed to Jaguar.

-Charles Leclerc moves to a Haas after doing an exceptional job at Sauber in 2018. Antonio Giovinazzi rejoins the team, as there were limited drivers Sauber could sign on. Leclerc replaces Kevin Magnussen, who has a poor 2019 season.

-Lando Norris replaces the now officially retired Jenson Button. He will race for McLaren, as he is one of their junior drivers.

-Audi joins F1 with a famous pair of F2 drivers:Sergey Sirotkin and Nicholas Latifi. Sirotkin won the 2019 F2 championship over Latifi by just 5 points. Both drivers have has lots of coming togethers over the years, but Audi says they think that both drivers will do just fine being teammates.

After getting hit by Charles Leclerc heading into turn 3, Giovinazzi barrel rolled 6 times and flew off the circuit, but survived. He suffered a broken right arm and shoulder.
