The 2017 Rome Convention on climate change is a convention that takes place in Rome. It takes place on march 18, 2017 and the topic of discussion is climate change. Italy called this convention due to rising sea levels and extreme heat waves that have happened recently in Southern Europe. Most developed countries attended.

United States President Hilary Clinton expressed concern That China and Pakistan did not send delegates due to political ideals. Clinton said in a speech "China and Pakistan have some of the worst air pollution in the world if we truly want to keep living on earth those are two countries that need to participate on the world stage". China and Pakistan did not attend due to Anti-West sentiment. Pakistan was especially angered that India was attending. Russia did not attend. Russian president Vladimir Putin said "we will not attend any western event until all sanctions are lifted"

Brazil agrees to do more to help the Amazon Rainforest. Brazil increases fines for deforesting the amazon. The United States pass the Solar Energy Act Of 2017 which gives tax breaks to business that use solar power primarily. United States president Hilary Clinton said "Solar power is the future". Mexico agrees to cut smog and air pollution from factories in and around Mexico City. Iceland add more Wind Turbines and the country now run 35% on alternate energy. India agrees increase conservation efforts and vow to keep poachers a way from it's tigers. India agrees to cut pollution from factories as best it can. Australia decides to do more to conserve kangaroos and other wildlife by decreasing the amounts of hunting permits given per year.
